4.7. Meditation 7: Befriending

This meditation is all about utilising the feelings and sensations associated with friendship (that we typically experience towards others) in order to practise kindness towards ourselves.

This meditation is for week six of the mindfulness programme in which the emphasis is on kindness.

This meditation not only facilitates the ability to conjure kindness towards others but compassion towards oneself — which can be even more difficult!
