4.2. Meditation 2: The body scan

This meditation involves reallocating attention through a sequence of body parts. This builds on basic meditation skills introduced in meditation one.

It is recommended to set 15 minutes aside to complete the body scan twice per day for six out of seven days during week two of the programme.

By exploring the naturally arising sensations and allowing them to dissipate in their own time, this meditation can have benefits such as relieving tension psychologically as well as throughout the body.
